NPR will be updated with census in the year 2021
As per the government sources, National Population Register is a part of census of India and this is why the data in NPR will be updated in 2021 when fresh census will be put online. This time cabinet may decide to ask about your parents' birth place. This change will be finalised in upcoming cabinet meeting on Tuesday
