Maharashtra's Enery Minister, Nitin Raut targeted PM Modi for his appeal to turn off the lights on 5 April at 9 pm for 9 minutes. Nitin Raut said Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call to switch off lights at 9 pm on Sunday to represent country's spirit in fight against COVID-19 can affect "power grid" as well as emergency services. In his address to the nation on March 24, the Prime Minister had announced a 21-day lockdown in the country to contain the spread of novel coronavirus
