Meteorological Department announces red alert in Mumbai

Within 24 hours after Hyderabad and Pune, Mumbai is the third city in the country to be battered by heavy rains. After heavy rains, water-logging in several areas disrupted normal life.

In many parts of Andheri, Hindmata, Jogeshwari, King Circle, Kurla, Marol, Goregaon, Ghatkopar, Chembur, heavy rains started from midnight. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in Mumbai today. Strong rains are expected in Mumbai and surrounding areas.
