Mahashivratri 2025: Devotees Flock to Jyotirlingas as Mahakumbh Concludes with Final Holy Dip
On the sacred occasion of Mahashivratri, millions of devotees are thronging temples and Jyotirlingas across India, seeking the blessings of Lord Shiva. The grand Mahakumbh in Prayagraj also marks its final day, with the last Shahi Snan being performed at the holy Sangam. The spiritual fervor is at its peak as devotees take a holy dip, believing it to be a path to salvation. In Ujjain’s Mahakaleshwar temple, Varanasi’s Kashi Vishwanath, and Deoghar’s Baba Baidyanath Dham, devotees are immersed in prayers and rituals. The air resonates with chants of Har Har Mahadev and Bam Bam Bhole, as devotees celebrate with great enthusiasm. With over 55 lakh devotees having taken the holy dip since morning, security measures remain tight. CM Yogi Adityanath is personally monitoring the situation from Gorakhpur’s control room to ensure a smooth conclusion to the historic spiritual gathering.
