Maharashtra News: Uddhav Thackeray's Major Statement on CM Candidate | ABP News
Ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly elections 2024 announcement, former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray made a significant statement during an MVA meeting. He declared that the fight for the upcoming elections has begun and that their victory is assured. Thackeray addressed questions about who would be the Chief Ministerial candidate, stating that both Sharad Pawar and Prithviraj Chavan could be supported by him, regardless of who is chosen. He urged the Election Commission to announce the election dates for Maharashtra as well. Thackeray emphasized that the fight against the BJP would be persistent, regardless of the outcome of the candidacy process. Thackeray expressed his dissatisfaction with past alliances with the BJP, noting that the experience was unproductive, with the BJP often undermining their seats. He criticized the BJP for trying to delay the elections by a month to distract from their COVID-19 management failures and claimed that officials are being threatened by the Shinde government. Thackeray promised a vigorous campaign, likening his role to that of an opening batsman in cricket, and vowed to surpass the performance of the previous Lok Sabha elections.
