Maharashtra News: Former Commissioner Param Bir Singh Makes Serious Allegations Against Anil Deshmukh

In a significant development in Maharashtra politics, former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh has leveled serious allegations against former state Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. Singh claimed that Salil Deshmukh, Anil Deshmukh's son, was involved in illegal activities, staying at the Lalit Hotel and conducting extortion meetings with illicit businessmen. According to Singh, officials were summoned to the hotel for transfers and postings in exchange for money. Singh stated that after receiving this information, he met with key political leaders, including Uddhav Thackeray, Sharad Pawar, Jayant Patil, and Anil Parab, to inform them of the extortion activities. Despite sharing all the details, no action was taken. Singh further revealed that all of these leaders were aware of the extortion activities but chose to ignore them. He mentioned meeting Uddhav Thackeray two to three times in a year and also meeting Pawar at Silver Oak. Singh emphasized that when he wrote a letter regarding the issue, he sent all the evidence to then-Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
