Devendra Fadnavis to Take Over as Maharashtra's New Chief Minister
BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis has been selected as the next Chief Minister of Maharashtra. This decision was confirmed during a meeting of the Mahayuti alliance on Wednesday, where Fadnavis was also appointed as the leader of the BJP legislative party. The alliance agreed to appoint Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar as Deputy Chief Ministers.
After the announcement, Fadnavis, along with his supporting MLAs, will meet the Governor of Maharashtra to present their claim to form the government. Mahayuti leaders will visit Raj Bhavan at 3:30 PM. The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for December 5 at Azad Maidan, with numerous senior BJP leaders expected to attend.
