Kanwar Yatra 2024: MP Likely To Issue 'Nameplate' Order Following UP Decision, MLA Sends Letter | ABP News
Recently, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath mandated that all restaurants, hotels, dhabas, food shops, and fruit vendors along the Kanwar Yatra route display a board with the owner's name. This order aims to prevent Kanwariyas from inadvertently buying from Muslim-owned establishments, thereby avoiding confusion and maintaining law and order.
Following this directive, a Madhya Pradesh MLA has written to request a similar order for Kanwar Yatra in his state. The Uttar Pradesh Police's new measure is designed to prevent misunderstandings and accusations during the pilgrimage. The directive expects voluntary compliance from all food vendors and shop owners along the Yatra route.
