Before arriving in China, Modi was in Japan, where he met PM Shigeru Ishiba, toured a semiconductor factory, and rode the Shinkansen bullet train. The visit led to 13 key agreements, and Japan pledged ¥10 trillion investment in India by 2025. Modi was warmly received across Japan, with locals respectfully addressing him as “Modi-san.” Modi’s twin visits to China and Japan reinforce India’s growing influence in Asia and its balancing act between major global powers.
