India's longest river ropeway over Brahmaputra is ready in Guwahati
The longest river ropeway over the Brahmaputra river is ready for the people to use. It has been opened up in Guwahati. It was inaugurated by Assam health and education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and Guwahati development department (GDD) minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya.
The project was worth Rs 56 crore and it took 17 years for the architects and builders to construct the ropeway. It is 1.82 kilometres long and is inspired by Swiss technology
