IMD Issues 'Yellow' Alert Or Mumbai, Orange Alert For Pune | ABP News
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on July 25 issued a yellow alert for Mumbai and an orange alert for Pune due to heavy rains. "Monsoon is very active in Maharashtra. We issued a red alert for Pune yesterday, and the city has recorded 114 mm of rain, with over 200 mm in the ghat areas. Mumbai has also received more than 65 mm of rain in the past 24 hours. Today, a yellow alert is in place for Mumbai and an orange alert for Pune," said IMD official Sunil Kamble. "So far, Mumbai has recorded over 1,700 mm of rain, which is 600 mm above the normal level."
