IMD declares timely arrival of monsoon; onset over Kerala around June 1
India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a timely arrival of the southwest monsoon. This news may make the farmers of India really happy. The monsoon is expected to make an onset over Kerala around June 1. Such an arrival will take place as the conditions are favorable for monsoon winds to surge in the low-pressure area in the Arabian Sea between May 31 and June 4.
