Himachal: Newly-Built Nag Temple in Shimla Destroyed Ahead of Planned Pran Pratishtha | ABP News

A devastating fire engulfed the newly-constructed Jahru Nag Temple in Shaneri village, Rampur tehsil, Shimla district, Himachal Pradesh, reducing the multi-storey temple to ashes. Built at an estimated cost of ₹2.5 crore with contributions from both government grants and local residents, the temple was nearly complete. The grand Pran Pratishtha ceremony, scheduled for next April, could not take place due to this tragic incident. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire, which remains unknown. The loss has left the local community in mourning, as the temple was considered a significant spiritual and cultural landmark in the region, reflecting both faith and local dedication.
