Google and Apple tie up to bring Coronavirus security app

Two tech giants Apple and Google are coming together to create an app that may help battle the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. In a tweet, Apple CEO Tim Cook said, "Technology can help health officials rapidly tell someone they may have been exposed to COVID-19. Today the Exposure Notification API we have created with Google is available to help public health agencies make their COVID-19 apps effective while protecting user privacy."
