Ganga, Yamuna water quality improves due to lockdown
The water quality of Ganga has improved manifold since the lockdown. This has happened as the industries are shut, people are unable to take baths at Ganga ghats, absence of washing of clothes
On the other hand, Yamuna looks fresher as well. There is lesser stink and the water is able to see some movement unlike before lockdown. One of the experts said that it happened because of absence of industrial activity
