Education News: CBSE Answer Sheet Controversy Deepens as Student Claims Wrong Physics Copy Assigned

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is once again facing serious allegations over its On-Screen Marking System after a Class 12 student claimed that her answer sheet was wrongly assigned, leading to her failing in Physics. The student, Harshita, has alleged that the answer sheet shown to her during verification does not belong to her, raising concerns over possible errors in the evaluation process. According to Harshita, while she performed well in other subjects, her Physics result was unexpectedly low, with only 12 marks awarded. She claims that the answer sheet provided for review contained handwriting that does not match hers. She further alleges that the first page of the answer sheet was hers, but the remaining pages appeared to belong to another student, suggesting a possible mix-up during the scanning or evaluation process. Harshita stated that she attempted all questions in the exam and was confident of scoring well, but the result drastically affected her academic performance and future plans. Her family has also expressed distress over the issue, demanding a proper investigation and correction from CBSE authorities. This is not the first such complaint. Earlier, another student named Vedant had raised a similar issue regarding a mismatch in his Physics answer sheet. Following media reports, CBSE had reportedly corrected the error and provided the student with the correct copy. The repeated nature of such allegations has raised questions about the reliability of the on-screen evaluation system, particularly in Physics examinations. Students and parents are now demanding a thorough review of the process to ensure transparency and prevent such errors in the future. CBSE has not yet issued an official statement on the latest complaint, but the issue has sparked widespread concern among students preparing for competitive examinations, as such discrepancies can significantly impact academic futures.
