EC puts ban on political rallies, parties commit to follow new guidelines
As the election commission has announced the assembly election dates for the upcoming assembly polls in Goa, Punjab, Manipur, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, the political enthusiasm has increased among the political parties. The Congress in Punjab has said that the party will follow all the instructions that have been given by the Election Commission during the press conference. The Election Commission of India has imposed a ban on ground rallies until January 15 in view of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases.
