Contaminated Well Water In Village Causes Infections: Panic Ensues After 4 Deaths | ABP Live

In Bhadiya village, Handia Tehsil, four deaths have been reported due to vomiting and diarrhea, causing widespread panic. Dozens of residents are ill, with fears of an outbreak of infection. Villagers claim that contaminated well water is the source of the illnesses. The deceased include two children, aged 2 and 9. Health and revenue teams from Saidabad CHC and the headquarters have been dispatched to the village. SDM Handia, Digvijay Singh, has also visited to assess the situation. CMO Dr. Ashu Pandey reported that four to five children from the village were admitted to a private hospital in Saidabad, where two children, aged 2 and 9, died. A third death involved a woman aged 70-80. The health department is investigating whether the contaminated water is indeed the cause of the illnesses.
