Citizenship Bill in interest of entire country, says Pralhad Joshi

Amidst the disagreement by the Opposition parties over the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said, the bill is in the interest of northeastern states and the entire country and it will definitely be passed in both the houses. The Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019, seeks to give Indian nationality to non-Muslim refugees from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan facing religious persecution there.
