In the assembly by-elections held for 13 seats across 7 states of the country, there has been a setback for the ruling BJP. BJP has won only 2 out of the 13 seats. By-elections were held in Bengal, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Himachal, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, and Madhya Pradesh. BJP managed to win only in Amarwara of Madhya Pradesh and Hamirpur of Himachal Pradesh.
