BRO keeps Zojila Pass open despite continuous drop in temperature
Amid heavy snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) cleared the Zojila Pass. In the Indian union territory of Ladakh, Zojila is a high mountain pass in the Himalayas. The pass, located in the Dras, connects the Kashmir Valley to the west with the Dras and Suru valleys to the northeast, and the Indus Valley to the east. The Zojila Pass, a mountain route in Jammu and Kashmir, stayed open for the first time in January despite temperatures as low as -27°C.
