Breaking News: Owaisi Launches Strong Attack on Mohan Bhagwat's Remarks on Temple-Mosque Dispute
A controversy has erupted over the construction of a police outpost near the Jama Masjid in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh. AIMIM Chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has targeted the central and Uttar Pradesh governments regarding the construction and the condition of mosques across the country. During his remarks, he also referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Kuwait. Owaisi stated, "In Kashi, the Wazukhana has been shut down. In mosques, something else is happening instead of offering prayers. They are eyeing the Eidgah mosque in Mathura." Referring to the Sambhal mosque, Owaisi said, "Collector sahab, you are only seeing what Yogi and Modi are showing you. Narendra Modi went to Kuwait, hugging and greeting the sheikhs. Bring those sheikhs here and show them what your government is doing here. With the Waqf Bill, they want to seize Muslim land, so that the Muslims’ shrines can be taken away from them. The land in front of Sambhal is Waqf land." Sambhal District Magistrate Rajendra Pensia stated on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, that there is no certified or legal evidence regarding the construction of the police outpost. He said, "The documents that were received were found to be unregistered, and the investigation is still ongoing. If anyone presents valid documents, action will be taken as per the law." He further mentioned that the land is registered as municipal property and was allocated for the police outpost. Owaisi also referred to the land in Sambhal, stating, "This is Waqf Number 39-A, Moradabad, and it is the Waqf deed for the land on which the police outpost is being built. The Uttar Pradesh government has no regard for the law." In his speech, Owaisi also mentioned Palestine, saying, "Let us pray for the innocent Palestinians who have suffered under the Israeli government's oppression for the past year. Northern Gaza has been emptied. More than 45,000 people have been martyred, and over 1.3 million people have been displaced."
