India's defense strategy needs to adapt to evolving threats, particularly from Pakistan, which continues to exhibit a volatile military posture despite internal challenges. During Operation Sindoor, India showcased the use of advanced weapons such as the Storm Shadow SCALP missile, Rafale and Mirage 2000 aircraft, HIMARS missiles, and the Bar-8 drone, highlighting India's growing military capabilities. However, experts like  Air Marshal (Dr) Sanjeev Kapoor  emphasize the need for India to accelerate its defense self-reliance by boosting its defense budget, enhancing local industry capabilities, and strengthening collaborations with allied nations.
