Following Operation Sindoor against Pakistan, the Indian government has launched a comprehensive 15-year defense modernization roadmap. This strategic plan aims to equip the Army, Navy, and Air Force with cutting-edge technology, bringing them on par with the world’s top military powers. The Indian Army will receive 500 scramjet engines for hypersonic missiles, 1,800 next-generation tanks, 400 light tanks, and 400 armed UAVs. The Air Force is set to get 20 stratospheric airships, 150 stealth UCAVs, 250 anti-drone systems, and 75 high-altitude shadow satellites. The Navy will be strengthened with an additional aircraft carrier, two electromagnetic aircraft launch systems, 10 next-gen destroyers and frigates, and 10 mine countermeasure vessels.
