Breaking: NDA Secures Clear Majority as BJP Chief Credits Modi-Nitish Leadership

Early trends from Bihar indicate a clear majority for the NDA, a development welcomed by Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal, who credits the mandate to the combined leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Jaiswal says the voters had made up their minds days before polling, believing firmly that the Modi–Nitish partnership should continue to govern the state with a stronger mandate. He rejected allegations made by Tejashwi Yadav and RJD leaders about women being offered ₹1,000 as inducement, noting that RJD themselves had counter-promised ₹3,000. Jaiswal further argued that the Mahagathbandhan’s weak performance in early trends is due to Rahul Gandhi’s involvement, claiming it pushed Tejashwi Yadav “backwards” and undermined the opposition’s credibility. While RJD had earlier warned against tampering during counting, Jaiswal dismissed these concerns as contradictory, stating that voters chose stability and development under the NDA.
