Breaking: Congress protests nationwide after ED charges Sonia-Rahul; clashes erupt, leaders detained

A massive political storm erupted across India after the Enforcement Directorate filed a chargesheet in the National Herald case, naming Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. In response, Congress workers launched nationwide protests, with demonstrations intensifying in Delhi, Patna, Varanasi, and Moradabad. Visuals from Delhi’s Akbar Road showed police detaining multiple Congress workers as barricades were set up to block their march. Clashes and heated confrontations broke out at several locations, leading to minor scuffles and detentions. Prominent Congress leaders like Sachin Pilot, Imran Pratapgarhi, and Supriya Shrinate were seen at the party headquarters in Delhi, defying police warnings and planning further protest action. The Congress party accused the Modi government of misusing central agencies to target the opposition, while the BJP defended the ED, saying it was performing its legal duties. Despite heavy police presence and detentions, the Congress reiterated its commitment to fight what it calls political harassment.
