Bappi Lahiri death: Abhijeet Bhattacharya says, 'Bappi Da made Mithun Da a disco king'

Bollywood playback singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya said "I have known him even before he started wearing gold. I used to be very free with Bappi Da, at times it also become controversial." He said that Bappi Lahri has made Mithun Da a disco king with his music. He also added "Bappi Da supported me during a time when I had no money."
