Akhilesh Yadav detained after protesting in Lucknow, says 'protest will continue'
Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav was supposed to head out from Lucknow for Kannauj but the Uttar Pradesh police sealed the area near the SP office. Soon after Akhilesh Yadav was seen protesting against the action by sitting in the middle of the road. He was later detained. Talking to the media he said, "The laws with which the farmers are unhappy, why doe the Modi government not repeal them? We would ask the farmers to help in overthrowing this government."
