ACB Summons Manish Sisodia & Satyendar Jain Over Classroom Construction Scam, Interrogation Scheduled in June
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has intensified its investigation into the alleged classroom construction scam by summoning former Delhi ministers Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain, both key leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). As per official sources, Satyendar Jain has been summoned for questioning on June 6, while Manish Sisodia is to appear before the ACB on June 9.The summons are linked to accusations of irregularities and inflated costs in the construction of classrooms in Delhi government schools during their respective tenures. The investigation, which had been under review for months, appears to be entering a more aggressive phase with these direct summons. This development poses fresh legal and political challenges for AAP, which is already battling multiple controversies and investigations involving its leadership. Both leaders have maintained their innocence in previous public statements, calling the allegations “politically motivated.”However, the ACB’s move to formally summon them indicates that the agency may have gathered new evidence or testimonies. The coming days are likely to be crucial for both Sisodia and Jain, as their interrogation may further influence the political discourse in Delhi.
