Delhi violence: 'The attack was planned', says DCP's wife

Shahdara DCP Amit Sharma was badly injured during anti-CAA protesters in violence at Delhi's Chand Bagh. The IPS officer was rescued by ACP Anuj Sharma and a constable, who was killed during the protests in Northeast Delhi. Riots broke out between pro and anti-Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) groups in the northeastern part of the city last week. The violence then spread to nearby localities of Maujpur, Chand Bagh and Yamuna Vihar. The protesters roamed in streets brandishing swords and pistols and even torched vehicles and houses.
