Nitish Kumar Govt Floor Test: 13 days after the formation of the new government of JDU-RJD in Bihar, the floor test is being held today. Nitish Kumar government has to prove majority in the assembly. It is believed that the government of the Grand Alliance will easily get the majority as it has the strength of 164 against the required 122 MLAs.
Actually, at least two-thirds of the votes of the members present and voting in the house are called majority, which is more than 50 percent of the total number of members of the house. There are a total of 243 seats in the Bihar Assembly, while one seat is vacant after the death of RJD MLA from Mokama, Anant Singh.
