Amid protest against CAA, people queue up for birth certificates

After CAA, people in UP are afraid of losing there citizenship. Amid rumors people in Meerut, Hapur, Bulandshahr and Gorakhpur are reaching municipal corporation offices to get their birth certificates. Municipal Corporation in UP’s Hapur witnessed a long queue to apply for birth certificates. Situation is such that 1947-1952 born have applied for the certificate. Executive officer of Hapur Municipal Corporation said that the unexpected rush has increased from past 1 week and they are facing an issue in finding evidences of such old dates, but we are trying to do our best.
