Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Wednesday said that the government along with the Indian embassy in Ukraine is trying everything possible to bring back the mortal remains of Naveen, a 4th-year MBBS student, who was killed in shelling in Ukraine. This comes after Naveen's father on Tuesday requested PM Modi, embassy to bring back his son's body.

"Naveen's friends have sent a photo of his body, sending it to MEA to confirm the same...We're in touch with the Indian embassy so that at least the body is secured. Trying everything possible to bring back the body," Bommai quoted as saying by news agency ANI. "Family to be compensated," the Karnataka CM added.
