Chauhan has also waived off electricity bills for which the state will have to shell out Rs 2000 crore. He also promised regularisation of adhoc teachers which will require additional Rs 2500 crore.
In adddition to this, the state government is arranging funds to pay salaries to government employees in accordance with 7th pay commission.
To make arrangements for such huge amount funds, the only option left with the state government is overdraft.
