Southern Rising Summit 2024: Learn the Key Differences Between Theatre and Film from Mohammad Ali Baig

Mohammad Ali Baig, an acclaimed theatre personality and filmmaker, was a featured speaker at the Southern Rising Summit 2024, sharing insights on the key differences between theatre and film. Known as the "Global Face of Hyderabadi Theatre," Baig is celebrated for his contributions to Indian theatre and as a master of large-scale, historical epics. He founded the Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Foundation in Hyderabad in 2005 as a tribute to his late father, theatre legend Qadir Ali Baig, aiming to promote meaningful theatre in India. Baig also curates the Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Festival, one of India's most prestigious events, held annually in Hyderabad. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 2014.
