With just 11 days to go until the Maharashtra Assembly elections, the political temperature in the state is rising, especially as BJP leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah hold back-to-back rallies. While the Mahayuti alliance has consistently stated that it does not have a Chief Ministerial candidate, Amit Shah hinted on Friday that the BJP might push for Devendra Fadnavis as Deputy Chief Minister. Speaking at a rally in Sangli, Shah praised Fadnavis, saying, "I have toured various parts of Maharashtra, including Vidarbha, Mumbai, Konkan, Kolhapur, and Jalgaon. Everywhere I went, one sentiment was clear among the people—'Mahayuti must form the government, and Devendra bhai must win.'"
