Lok Sabha Elections 2024: BJP aims for a clean sweep in Modi's home state Gujarat

The stage is set for the announcement of results for the Gujarat Lok Sabha elections. Vote counting will commence at 8 AM across 25 constituencies in the state. The electoral outcome holds significant importance for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), as Gujarat is considered a stronghold where the party has previously secured victories in all 26 Lok Sabha seats during the 2014 and 2019 general elections. Gujarat is also the home state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, prominent leaders of the BJP. Among the 26 Lok Sabha seats, the BJP has already secured Surat uncontested. The counting process will determine the winners for the elections conducted in the remaining 25 constituencies.
