Delhi Election Result 2025: "Will Succeed in Forming a Double-Engine Government": Virendra Sachdeva

As vote counting continues for the Delhi Assembly elections, BJP’s Delhi unit chief Virendra Sachdeva has expressed confidence in forming a "double-engine government," aligning the state leadership with the central government. The elections, conducted in a single phase on February 5, saw 699 candidates contesting across 70 seats, with early trends emerging soon after counting began at 8:00 AM today (February 8).BJP, which has not been in power in Delhi for 26 years, is pushing for a comeback, while AAP faces a strong challenge after ruling for a decade. Exit polls have predicted a major shift, suggesting a BJP victory with over 36 seats, while AAP is expected to secure 25-35 seats. Congress remains in a weak position, with projections giving it little to no representation. As counting progresses, all eyes are on whether BJP can officially reclaim Delhi after nearly three decades.
