Digvijaya Singh given responsibility of gathering numbers to form govt in MP
The Congress took early significant leads in BJP-ruled Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh and was locked in a close fight in BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh. The central state is headed for a thriller as early rounds of counting saw a see-saw battle between the two parties. BJP leaders say the trends will depict a different picture in MP later in the day and will be in favour of their party. In Telangana, Chandrasekhar Rao's TRS was seen leading in 55 seats while Congress+ was ahead in 34. Celebrations began outside TRS office is Hyderabad as the party.
