P Chidambaram's son Karti lashed out at the CBI for arresting his father in the INX media case, saying it was a "totally politically motivated witch-hunt". Karti further blamed the ruling government saying that this is being done just to divert attention from the issue of Article 370. "This is a totally vindictive and malicious act, done by a pliant agency. This is only done to settle political scores. There was absolutely no necessity to have done this," Karti said.
