Audio Bulletin: Amit Shah Proposes Idea of Multipurpose ID Card
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday said the Census 2021 data will be collected through mobile app. Explaining why the National Population Register (NPR) that is to be prepared under the 2021 census would be digital, Shah said "A digital NPR will help in solving several issues, like law and order and gender equality," Shah said.
Shah also proposed the idea of a multipurpose identity card for every citizen which includes passport, Aaadhar, driving license and the voter card.
