Allahabad: Huge crowd gathers at Sangam on Bhai Dooj

Bhai Dooj or Bhaiya Dooj is a Hindu festival that comes two days after Diwali. It is a celebration of love between brother and sister just like Raksha Bandhan. On this day, sister applies 'tilak' or 'teeka' on the forehead of her brothers and prays for a long life and good fortune. People celebrate this day in a jolly mood and wear festive clothes. Sisters prepare festive food and get gifts for their brothers. Brothers also get gifts to their sisters and pray for their well-being.
