Violence swept the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus on January 5, as several masked individuals thrashed students and teachers inside the campus with wooden and metal rods.

The pro-Left students and right-wing ABVP have been blaming each other for the violence. Jawaharlal Nehru University students held protest at Mandi House demanding removal of the university's Vice Chancellor, following Jan 5 violence.
