The creative idea of placing the QR code underneath the weighing bowl with no additional cost has garnered widespread attention
Unified Payments Interface (UPI) has become the most preferred mode of payment across the country. From roadside tea stalls to autorickshaw drivers to branded companies all have been accepting cashless transactions through different UPI applications. Now a video of a woman selling vegetable on the road side has gone viral in which she is seen accepting online payment, but with an unexpected twist.
In the video shared on Instagram by @maharashtra.farmer a woman selling vegetables was observed packing peanuts (mungfali) for a customer. When the person asked for an online payment, the woman rotated the bowl, meant for weighing vegetables, under which the QR code was pasted.
The creative idea of placing the QR code underneath the weighing bowl with no additional cost has garnered widespread attention. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw also took to X, formerly Twitter, to share the video.
