A Home Guard deployed as a traffic police personnel in Uttarakhand has won the heart of netizens after a video of him managing traffic in a unique style went viral on social media. Jogendra Kumar's unique style of controlling vehicular movement near City Heart Hospital in Dehradun has won him applauds.

In the video, Kumar, clad in a khaki dress, can be seen moving cars and heads at the same time with his brilliant dance steps while controlling traffic.

In the video, he can be seen hopping and dancing around with a wide smile on his face as he ensures a smooth flow of the traffic. The public can be seen enjoying his innovative style of functioning as they patiently wait for their turn to cross the road. 

"I have brought in a unique aspect, this makes people happy. They enjoy this and reach their destination. I have done this to ensure that people don't get bored when they stop at traffic signals. I enjoy my work," ANI quoted Jogendra Kumar as saying. 

A few years ago, a video of a traffic constable in Indore went viral in which he can be seen using his dance moves to manage the traffic.

Traffic constable Ranjit Singh became a local celebrity in the city for using late pop icon Michael Jackson's famous "moonwalk" to control the traffic. His creative and fun way of working made him a local celebrity on social media, with people approaching him for selfies.

In 2018, a video of Pratap Chandra Khandwal, a home guard and a traffic police personnel in Odisha, went viral showing him dancing in the middle of the road to keep the commuters from breaking traffic laws. Khandwal's distinctive ways to control the traffic caught the social media's eye and many dubbed as the "dancing traffic cop".
