UP Police Comes Up With Witty Post After Kohli-Gambhir Face-Off, Tweet Goes Viral
"What an idea for messaging awareness of #112dial by @Uppolice really very meaningful," commented one user on the post.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 game between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Monday was won by RCB by 18 runs, but what caught the attention of everyone even more than the game was the ugly face-off between Virat Kohli and LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir. The incident became a fodder for memes and hilarious tweets with Uttar Pradesh Police also jumping onto the bandwagon.
Taking to the microblogging site Twitter, the UP police shared a picture of Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir's verbal fight to promote their emergency number 112.
"Avoid arguing, not calling us. Dial 112 in case of any emergency," read the caption of the post. While a text overlay on the picture read "Koi bhi masla hamare liye 'Virat' aur 'Gambhir' nahi! (No issue is too big or serious for us)!"

क्या बात है! विराट और गंभीर शब्द को परिभाषित करने का अंदाज लाजवाब।
Kohli and Gambhir are former India team-mates and have played together for the Delhi state team but they have had a history of face-offs.
The last time when LSG and RCB clashed in Bengaluru in an IPL 2023 game, Gambhir had gestured towards the Bengaluru crowd with a 'shut up' sign.
They were also involved in a face-off 10 years ago in the IPL during RCB's match against Kolkata Knight Riders in Bengaluru.
