‘UK Needs To Take Notes’: British YouTuber Amazed By Getting Food Delivered On His Train in India

British YouTuber George Buckley was amazed after receiving a food delivery on an Indian train, calling the experience impressive and saying, “The UK needs to take notes” in his viral video.

In a delightful cultural crossover, British YouTuber George Buckley recently shared his surprise and excitement at receiving a food delivery while travelling on a train in India. The experience, which he documented in a video posted on Instagram, has since captured the attention of social media users across platforms.

George was en route to Varanasi when he received his meal during a brief halt at Kanpur Central railway station. “I am getting food delivered on a train in India. If you don’t believe me, just hold on,” he says in the video, his astonishment clearly visible.

The clip begins with the overlay text, “Food delivery to a train!” and shows George waiting inside his AC first-class coach. He explained that he had placed his order two hours in advance using the food delivery app Zomato and positioned himself near the coach door during the train’s five-minute stop at Kanpur Central.

The order included a sandwich and a milkshake, and George shared the price he paid in the video. Moments later, a delivery agent arrived and handed over the meal directly to his seat. Before parting ways, the delivery agent even took a selfie with George — a gesture that added a personal touch to the entire experience.

Enjoying his food alongside an Indian co-passenger who assisted him through the process, George expressed his gratitude in the caption: “The UK needs to take notes.” He also wrote, “It was a pleasure meeting you, bro,” referring to the helpful fellow passenger.

Users Reaction To The Viral Video

The video quickly gained traction online, with many social media users chiming in with their own reactions and appreciation for India’s growing tech-enabled railway services. George’s experience not only showcased the convenience of train food delivery in India but also highlighted the warmth and helpfulness of fellow travellers.

One of the users said, "Mad isnt it. I got a dominos delivered to my bed on a train there." Another user said, "That would never work in the UK .. the food company would go bust with all the delays, cancellations and bus replacements!"

"The Uk snacks/ meal variety for train travellers needs to amp up. I remember only Spar or 7 eleven food that is sometimes so monotonous.. i think if they start selling hot pasties on trains that would be an amazing English snack on the go!
we even get vada pau on trains in India. If you travel by inter city trains, you will get amazing snacks!! We also have a coupe coach that serves different meals. So yea.. try it out," said a third one.
