Twin Baby Elephants Take Their First Steps, Watch Adorable Video

The 23 second clip shared on the microblogging site X, formerly Twitter, shows the calves trying to stand on their legs even as they tumble and fall.

A  heartwarming video has gone viral on the internet in which two newborn baby elephants stand within minutes of being born. The also start walking within an hour. The sight of the remarkable first steps of twin baby elephants has brought joy to the internet. The clip was shared by Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Susanta Nanda, who is well-known for sharing interesting wildlife content on social media .

The 23 second clip shared on the microblogging site X, formerly Twitter, shows the calves trying to stand on their legs even as they tumble and fall. However, they don't give up and again get up and try to stand firmly. Soon the babies are able to take their first unsteady but determined strides, which is a treat to watch.

"Newly born twins…Taking the first steps," reads the caption of the post that has amassed close to 30,000, over 1k likes and tons of comments.

"This is enough to make someone smile, even on a bad day," commented one user on seeing the video.

"Wow, elephant have also been twins , never know before . Amazing," wrote another user.

"Awwww so adorable, wish I could come to meet them," commented a third.

While a fourth wrote, "They need utmost care... to build health and immunity. Twins rerely survive but who knows,they might grow up to become two healthy, happy, and fighting siblings. God bless them."
