Caught On Camera: Delhi Traffic Cops Suspended After Video Shows ‘Bribe Exchange, Distribution’
Three Delhi traffic police officers were suspended after a viral CCTV video allegedly showed them taking a bribe. The video depicts an officer receiving cash and then dividing it among themselves.
Three traffic police officers in Delhi were suspended after a CCTV video showing them allegedly distributing cash among themselves was circulated widely on social media. In the incident, one officer reportedly accepted a bribe inside a police checkpoint in Gazipur, Thrill Lauri Circle.
The viral video begins with one of the officers having a brief conversation with a man inside the checkpoint. After a short exchange, the officer signals the man, who then places a bundle of money on a table behind the officer who was pretending to look outside.

As soon as the man leaves, the policeman sits down and counts the cash. The video then shows the three officers sitting together as the first officer divides the cash among them. The other two officers can be seen smiling as they receive their share.
The three traffic police personnel in Delhi were suspended as a preliminary investigation was launched with a detailed departmental inquiry also underway, news agency PTI reported.
