Madhya Pradesh Cop Performs CPR On Snake That Consumed Pesticide, Watch Viral Video

In the video, constable Atul Sharma, who happens to be a "self-taught snake rescuer" first examines the snake to see whether it is breathing or not.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation or CPR is an emergency lifesaving procedure performed during a heart attack. It requires chest compressions and mouth-to-mouth breathing to keep the blood flow active and raise chances of survival of the person who has suffered a cardiac arrest. But have you ever come across someone giving a CPR to a snake? Yes, you heard that right, a video has gone viral on social media in which a cop can be seen attempting mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to revive a snake that had become motionless after consuming water laced with pesticide.

In the video, constable Atul Sharma, who happens to be a "self-taught snake rescuer" examines the snake to see whether it is breathing or not. Soon he starts giving CPR to the reptile and keeps sprinkling water occasionally. After a while, the snake starts to move amid cheers from the excited crowd.

"A video from Narmadapuram has gone viral where a police constable is giving CPR to a snake that had fallen unconscious after being drenched in pesticide laced toxic water," reads the caption of the post shared along with the video on X, formerly Twitter, by Anurag Dwary.

Since being shared, the viral video has amassed several comments.

"So good This police man deserves great appreciation Salute Sir," commented one user on the post.

"What a courageous cop, salute sir," wrote another user.

"OMG...Dwary sir.. Compassion of Indian society towards even a snake. Wonderful," commented a third.
